Having worked closely with Askham Bryan college for many years we were asked to compose a plan to remove three mature poplar trees within the wildlife conservation park on campus.
A recent tree survey had outlined three poplar trees as unsafe.
Being situated in a area of the park accessed by staff and visiting public these tree needed removed to prevent any future risk of failure.
To dismantle each tree in a controlled manner within a set time frame when the park was closed to visitors.
We removed the larger branches and then section felled the stems using LOLER certified ropes and pulleys to lower the larger wood with minimum disturbance to the grass bellow.
This project was completed on time, with no unforeseen issues.
